Wine Australia will bring its largest-ever pavilion to ProWine China 2019 (12–14 November), showcasing the dynamic Australian wine sector to thousands of international trade visitors at China’s leading international wine and spirits event.
A record 61 Australian wine exhibitors will show more than 100 of Australia’s finest wine brands from over 25 wine regions, over three days of wine tastings, master classes and education seminars. The line-up will include several newcomers to the Chinese market, along with wines that have been awarded 90+ points by internationally-recognised wine critics.

Wine Australia Chief Executive Officer Andreas Clark said, “China remains Australia’s largest export market by value, with exports growing 7 per cent in the year ended June 2019 to a record $1.2 billion.”

Among the forum room masterclasses, ‘McLaren Vale Grenache Greats’ examines a pivotal varietal in the region’s viticultural history and conveys a perfect example of diverse regional winemaking expression, from vibrant and juicy easy drinking styles to rich and structured wines suitable for cellaring.
The two ‘Margaret River World-class Cabernet Sauvignon’ masterclasses explore a pristine Mediterranean climate and viticultural paradise in the southwest corner of Australia, telling the story of the region’s world-class Cabernet Sauvignon and the unique Houghton clone, now recognised on the world stage for its elegance, balance and graceful age-ability.
Additionally, ‘Foundations of Australian Wine’ introduces the world to Australian wine and the people, places and processes that make it so exciting.
