All its restaurants and bars are committed to sustainability and respect for local farmers using traditional recipes with a modern touch.Pinto, the resort’s all-day dining restaurant, takes its inspiration from Old Phuket Town and quirky shophouse eateries. Its shelves are lined with woven baskets, marble juice corner with ‘broken ceramic’ floor tile, Italian corner of brick and terracotta, cold cut and cheese corner in a butcher shop motif, teppanyaki and Asian corner in the Sino-Portuguese style while condiment shelves are reminiscent of a local grocery store. Juices and soft drinks, the best of Thailand’s craft beers and locally inspired cocktails from the head mixologist are also served.Signature Thai destination restaurant Jaras celebrates sustainably sourced products from the island’s fishermen and farmers. Set in a natural sea-view cocoon inspired by the Kamala casuarina pine forest, each dining experience is a tailored journey filled with stories of Thai life, cuisine and arts. InterContinental Phuket Resort is thrilled to welcome Top UK Chef Jeff Tan to Pinto for an exclusive four-day residency from 29 October to 1 November 2019. One of the United Kingdom’s most celebrated Asian chefs, Malaysian-born Chef Tan specializes in modern Chinese. During Chef Tan’s three-year tenure as Head Chef at Hakkasan, the restaurant was awarded the coveted one Michelin-star. Chef Tan currently owns Soho Vietnamese Tapas and Wine restaurant, Viet Food, Viet Lounge and Go Viet which was listed in the 2020 edition of the Michelin Guide. Chef Tan will be showcasing an innovative tasting menu featuring dishes like Lobster Salsa with Szechuan Dressing, Fresh Abalone with Double-boiled Corn Fed Chicken Soup and Mongolian-Style Lamb Chop.
